Quality Program

SSI utilizes a variety of sampling methods to verify the quality of our products. Most importantly we utilize sub vendors who have been pre qualified, and for the sake of continuity and retained knowledge, we endeavor to keep the same sub vendors over a long period of time. In an aeration system, there are many plastic, electrical and metal parts.
Some have critical dimensions with close tolerances. For some items we checked each piece (i.e. each batch of rubber physical properties, each tube membrane ID and wall thickness, each disc membrane integral O-ring), and for others we follow military standard 105-D sampling procedures (i.e. bubble test, plastic part dimensions).
It is very common in our industry to ask for an ISO certification, however leading companies such as Toyota ™ are moving beyond quality methods in name only, and prefer to aggressively sample parts for their own production. SSI utilizes subcomponents from many vendors with ISO certification, however it is not a prerequisite to become an SSI sub vendor. We work hand-in-hand with sub vendors to develop a QC protocol, and we will generally supply examples "acceptable" and "reject able" parts so that our quality standards reach each and every worker on the production line.
Warranty :
We warranty our products to be free from defects in manufacturing and workmanship for a minimum of 12 months from the date of installation, up to 18 months after shipment.
Parts found to be defective in materials or workmanship will be repaired or replaced without charge, with freight to be at our option. The responsibility of SSI is limited to the cost of defective parts. Damage caused to SSI aeration products by chemicals, wear caused by the presence of abrasive, sticky or oily materials, poor maintenance, installation or operation not in accordance with our manual shall not constitute defects. SSI is able to stand behind our pledge of quality because we continually test all our equipment ensuring greater quality control. Our test results are made available upon request.
