SSI - Research and Development

SSI started as a very small company in 1995, and the founders of the company are all still actively involved in the day to day operations. We are in the unique position of achieving further development from a very knowledgeable baseline. And since our company does not manufacture or supply other wastewater equipment, or try to sell complete wastewater process, we have dedicated our R & D program to the improvement of fine bubble diffusers exclusively.

Efficient Bubble Diffusers

It is our goal to produce diffusers with the highest efficiency, longest life time, least maintenance and lowest capital and installation cost. There is plenty of room left for active development in this field.

Some of the developments that have come out of our R & D lab include PTFE coatings on EPDM membranes to prevent fouling and protect the EPDM substrate from chemical oxidation due to solvent exposure, Viton coatings on EPDM, and Quick Connect bayonet disc diffuser saddle mounts.

Aeration Equipment

There are a number of promising developments in the pipeline, as it is our goal to introduce at least one significant advancement in the industry each year.
